Bridal skincare tips

This time of year thoughts turn to new beginnings and future plans and those who are newly engaged might well be looking ahead to their bridal countdown. But as any bride knows it's not all about the dress and the seating plan. There's that all important bridal glow to get sorted, and if you're getting wed this summer now is the perfect time to start thinking about updating your skincare and beauty regime in time for your big day.

We love a bride here in our luxury Knightsbridge clinic but we also love the whole shebang that goes with this important life commitment, so we asked award-winning bridal designer Louise Selby about her experience with brides over the years and when the best time to sort out your makeup look is.

"Once the bride has chosen her dress and veil, her attention turns to hair and makeup … it is always a temptation to try something different on the big day, I would resist this. Wearing ivory or white means lots of reflection and more emphasis on the face and anything contrived will stand out too much."

Louise advises "Natural always works and good preparation is essential (the savvy bride will have started her beauty regime leading up to the big day a good few months before)."

"A clear idea of how the bride sees herself helps; city brides can get away with a more polished, defined and groomed look while country brides need to stick to a softer palette."

We have years of experience in bridal skincare so why not pop in for a consultation or make an appointment for a treatment.

Just in time for the Bridal season we have a fab offer -  If you book a trial wedding make-up with us throughout January and February you will receive a £25 voucher redeemable against your full wedding day makeup.
