If you're anything like me, then you're constantly on the lookout for anything which will help with your skin's inevitable anti-ageing battle. With so many amazing products out there it's tricky to figure out what might work for your skin type, let alone whether you need to throw everything at the problem or simply cherry pick the most effective products. Well, luckily for us, this week Lisa has given us her 4 top anti-ageing skincare tips to help sort the wheat from the chaff.
Firstly it may sound a little like a no-brainer, but it's important to protect your skin from the outset. To eliminate dull looking skin, Lisa's ultimate go-to product of choice is her award-winning Luminescent Base. Its age-defying scientific formula fuses diamond particles, Rose Quartz, Platinum and Frankincense. The singular combination of these rare precious metals, minerals and botanical infusions illuminate, restore and energise your skin. Boosting radiance and diminishing imperfections.
The actual science bit involves photoluminescent diamond powder contained within the formulation which cleverly converts UV light to blue light which restores the glow of younger looking skin. Along with that the Luminescent Base contains an instant remodelling extract which helps tighten the skin from within, reorganising the dermis structure and visibly smoothing the skin surface. It also has dynamic active ingredients which provide intelligent skin protection after sun exposure by increasing photo resistance and speeding up the regeneration progress. So pop one of these babies in your bag and take it with you on the go for the perfect glow pick-me-up through the day.
Next up let's talk sunscreen. Again, not rocket science, but long-term unprotected skin exposure causes damage to your skin, and along with global pollution, it accounts for a high percentage of skin ageing problems. It's important to always choose a broad spectrum SPF and look for those which include antioxidant ingredients to protect your skin even further.
Another great anti-ageing weapon is to introduce retinoids to your nightly skincare regime. Retinol is a vitamin A derivative and antioxidant that strengthens your skin and increases the skin cell turnover that will improve your skin texture and tone your skin. Retinol is highly effective at reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and hyper-pigmentation, so what's not to love about that.
Finally, let's talk pollution. Most of us are aware of the damaging effects caused by the sun’s ultraviolet rays, but not so much about the damaging effects from other forms of radiation, like ElectroMagnetic Radiation or Infrared. For example, EMR is omitted from electronic devices such as mobile phones and other electronic devices, it has an ageing effect on the skin from an increased level of free radical production and a decrease in skin cell regeneration. So seek out products which take the effects of pollution into account. It's all not doom and gloom though, as in our new pro-effect range launching this year, pollution is one of the main areas we are tackling. We have included one of the first active ingredients focused solely on reducing biological skin disorders resulting from exposure of EMR in a number of our products.
So at the very least, why not stick to these easy 4 tips and keep a look out for our new products launching in a few months which will help tackle a whole gamut of anti-ageing issues in one hit.
